Nicaragua Photo Tours and Workshop

During this 10 day photo tour through Nicaragua you’ll be able to photograph the Nicaraguan culture, history, nature and appreciate the Caribbean.

The learning starts in Leon, an active colonial city with thousands of university students, there will many churches and museums to photograph combined with local art and culture. In the highlands is found the sustainable and organic operation mountain-resort farm of Selva Negra, a photo tour through its cloud forest, with the help of your photography instructor will have you returning with unforgettable souvenirs.

During the trip you will be also be able to photograph different active volcanoes such as Masaya, Concepcion, Maderas, Telica and+ others. Exploring through the hidden treasures like “Charco Verde” and “Las Isletas de Granada” will get you an up-close view to flora and fauna for those macro shots.

Itinerary

Day 1

You will arrive in Managua. Pick-up at airport and transfer to our City hotel in Managua...

Day 2

Managua – León. After breakfast and a briefing of the trip, we will visit and photograph the most important monuments of the capital city. After this, we will drive from Lake Managua to the former capital, León...

Day 3

León – Las Peñitas – Leon. Breakfast. Walking through the colonial streets of this city, we will visit and photograph its principal monuments, the Cathedral, the old University and the Museum of Rubén Darío...

Day 4

León – Matagalpa – Selva Negra. Breakfast. We will depart to the cool region of the central mountain area of Nicaragua. After passing through the town of Matagalpa, we will reach the famous lodge of Selva Negra...

Day 5

Selva Negra – Masaya Volcano - Ometepe. Bird photgraphy just outside the door of your bungalow is incredible. After breakfast, you can enjoy the area on your own, before we depart to the Pacific area and reach our next destination...

Day 6

Maderas Volcano – Charco Verde - Granada. Breakfast. Then, we will explore and photograph part of the Maderas volcano, observing the rural life of the island by Finca Santa Magdalena. In the afternoon, return to the islands main town and return to the mainland...

Day 7

Granada - Isletas. Breakfast. After visiting and photographing several places of interest in the city, we will start a boat tour to the romantic and tropical “Isletas”. Lunch at Puerto Asese. The rest of the afternoon, we will continue our photography of the colonial jewel Granada...

Day 8

Granada – Managua  Breakfast. Transfer to Managua Airport
